Last BBALL game of session

After we took the girls to see Santa, Cassidy had her last YMCA Bball game. They unfortunately lost but they played hard and did their best.  Cassidy is still as ruthless as ever. I think she was on the floor like 4 or 5 times that morning. I dont think Bball is supposed to be full contact! LOL. Oh well, she will learn. Here are some snapshots of that game. Cass is number 10 and we are the red team.

See what I mean. Look at her hugging the other little girl.

That is Cassidy shooting. She almost made that basket.

Again Cass shooting.

Coach Becky telling the girls to move their ARS! :P

All I want for Christmas!

Took the girls to see Santa yesterday before Cassidy's bball game. I decided to make Kate sit on the big guys lap, dont think she was to pleased with me but oh well. Here are some pics with what they told Santa they wanted.

Kate, like I said, didn't want to sit on Santas lap.  She didn't tell him what she wanted so I have no news on that subject.  But she told me she wanted clothes and accessories. Done!

Cassidy, she wants Mind Flex, yeah over 200 dollars for just that. So not going to happen. She also told him she wanted clothes. Got her some clothes and lots of extras.

Sarah, wants a pillow pet, they are all sold out, cant find them anywhere. We looked. She also told him she wanted some thing where you can make gems to put in her hair. Still looking for that. But I think her Santa gift is going to be Left 4 Dead II. She loves the first one so much she wants the other, and so does hubby. LOL.

Sick kids

About 1 am Sarah came into our room not feeling well. Poor thing was up worshiping the great porcelain god all night and part of the morning. She missed making her gingerbread house at school today, and she was totally bumbed about that. She was so excited at about noon that she had not thrown up in a while. Well, she hadn't eaten much if anything so that explains that. Hopefully she will be able to stomach a bit of dinner.

I will hopefully be finishing up holiday shopping tomorrow if she is well enough to go to school. If not it will have to wait a couple of days. I am totally cutting it so short this year! Isn't there some sort of procrastination club I could be the president of?

So far we have been lucky not to have been really sick this season. Of course the season has just started but I am still keeping my fingers crossed in hopes of a well winter.

Toothless!

Sarah just lost another tooth. She really cracks me up some time. Look at her face!

Forgiveness

A question a couple weeks ago was brought to our circle, when a member was watching a documentary on forgiveness.

The questions she brought to us were: What is forgiveness? What does it mean to forgive someone? Is it "forgive and forget"? This is a question that was asked in the documentary and different people had different answers. And what does it mean to you to forgive? So, I too ask you what your answers would be. Mine are as follows:

Forgiveness to me is to let go of the wrong someone has done to you. I don’t necessarily believe in forgive and forget. I think that you need to learn from what was done and hopefully grow. Some people would say I forgive to easily and that I trust to easily. Forgive to easily, I don’t necessarily agree. But trust to easily, perhaps. I have always felt that I should give everyone a chance, and I have been "slapped in the face" more times than I can count by people who didn't deserve my trust.

If someone is able to give a heart felt apology I will forgive them, but I would remember what they did or said to cause hurt feelings. I would love to say that I would never think on it again, but in all reality I don’t think that would happen, and if it did it would take awhile for me not to be thinking on it when other disagreements arise. That person would have to build up trust again, depending on what was done or said, for me to feel comfortable with them again.

Forgiveness is most hard to do when it is yourself you have to forgive (at least for me). I struggle with it daily when trying to understand myself or come to grips with things about me that I am trying to change and having the hardest time changing. I wish that I could just accept myself for myself but it is extremely difficult for me, and that is something I am still thinking on. It is part of my goals to myself for Samhain, to learn and understand myself more, and to forgive things I cannot change about myself and my world.

I thought this was a good topic for a post given the season, and I thought I would share my thoughts. Now reply, email, repost, whatever you like. But think about what forgiveness means to you. I would love to know.

My Family

I am wanting to do something for each of my girls rooms, so I have been brainstorming.  Looking at poems and such. I found this one that I liked, but wont use. Dont think I want the word "bitch" printed and hung up on their walls.  Anyway, I thought I would share.

My Family
by Diana Silverbow

This family's made of normal people by light.
We turn into magical creatures by night,
Casting our spells with eerie delight
By the stars and the moon, shining bright.

I am the maiden who lures Unicorns.
I stroke their noses and long, graceful horns.
On my brow, a wreath of flowers adorns.
The roses, of course, have no thorns.

My son is a bundle of pure Impish joy.
Sometimes he's stubborn - won't share any toy.
And with the ladies he's a bit shy and coy.
My pride, my pleasure, my boy.

His daddy's an Ogre, Mother Nature's mistake.
His massively big hands he uses to take
Tall trees from their roots, on his knee to break.
A mess of the forest he'll make.

I have a best friend, and she is a Witch.
She laughs and she listens, but boy can she bitch.
Yet, not for another would ever I switch.
Spiritual sister, the Witch.
Her husband, a light-haired, blue-eyed Elf.
So lithe and so tall, he can reach the top shelf.
His sarcasm stings, so you watch yourself.
A helping hand, this Elf.

Their daughter's a Faerie and ever so sweet.
Although her room's rarely tidy or neat.
A prettier creature you'll never meet.
My Faerie God-daughter, so sweet.

My step-dad is rough, a short, stocky Gnome.
Can grow any garden with his green thumb.
He's pretty well grounded; he don't like to roam.
Can fix anything at home.

My mother's a Goddess who gives great advice.
Her mystical number is thrice by thrice.
Many fair mortal men did she entice.
Her gently demeanor is nice.

We come in your dreams while you sleep tight,
To teach you a lesson or give you a fright.
We sometimes reveal a tiny foresight.
Don't let the bed bugs bite!

Cassidys and Sarahs Winter Sing

A couple of weeks ago Cassidy and Sarah had the Winter Sing. I am NOW getting onto put them up on the blog. Slow and steady is the pace! Anyway they did a good job. Sarah is alway a character with her sillyness and Cassidy the forever tomboy. Just wait you will see in the pics. :P

Me

Here are some photos I did of me last week. Dont know if I will put them on my business site because I didnt set up the studio for them. I only used window light.

Happy Thanksgiving

Happy Thanksgiving all. Hope everyone is well and able celebrate with their families. Even though James and I dont have our family close enough to celebrate with them, I feel lucky that we are all healthy and happy.  Today we spent at home relaxing watching tv, the girls watched the Macy's Thanksgiving Day Parade. Hubby gave Memphis a bath, he was not to happy about that. Hubby is the cook in the house, as we speak, or rather as I type, Turkey is cooking, mashed potatoes and stewin', and pies are done. Hubby and kids made those last night. Everything smells soo good!

Tomorrow, Black Friday, dont think I am going to be treading to Omaha to shop. We have started our Christmas shopping though, suprise, suprise! Kate wants mostly clothes, Cassy and Sarah have a list coming along.

Anyway, be safe everyone. Have a great day!

Braxtyn

This little guy was so hairy, but he was so darned cute! I will be posting again later, I just thought I should post what I have been working on for you all to see.

Just found out I didn't win the contest for the "White Witch Black Curse" signed copy of the Kim Harrisons Hallows series book. Man, that really sucks! I have already read the book but still wanted a signed copy! POO! Oh well. Post again later! I have pics from Cass and Sarahs winter sing recital and J video taped it. I will try and get him on the ball on editing that too.

Baseball Shoes

Sitting here at bball practice watching a cute little boy run around in baseball shoes. I wonder if his mom realises what he is wearing. I cant think that it would be good for the gym flooring. Well a least it is not snowing out yet .  Im guilty of letting my girls go out in the wrong footware too, ecspecially when I am trying to get them out the door! Sarah is really bad at being ready on time. Well they're done time to head home!

Another painting

Today I spent the better part of the day on yet another painting. It is still a work in progress, but it is looking pretty good.  Cassidy has bball practice this evening. She managed to not tackle any players from the other team last weekend. Hopefully she will keep it up this weekend too. They still have not won a game yet. Last week they played against the 4th graders. The team did good though.

Managed to get through my workout today without Truth attacking me, you know its a good day when that happens. Still working on putting together Christmas/Yule gifts for friends and family. So far I have everything I need just need to put everything together.

I have one more painting I want to do and then I really need to get an updated picture of me done for my website. Been really procrastinating gettting one done. There is a reason I am behind the camera!  Well, fighting off a migraine so I better go pop some meds before it gets to bad.

Today

This what I have been doing today. I think I am about done. What ya think?

Halloween2009

Well, better late than never. Here are those Halloween pics. Taken with point and shoot, but still ok non-the-less.

Sarah - Evil school girl.

Cassidy - the cheerless cheerleader. And this is soo her too!

Kate didn't go trick or treating this year. She stayed home to hand out candy. Her choice not mine. She was so excited to find the ears, collar with a bell and tale, just like Truths. She had to have it.

Me and my girls.

Truth - MEOW!

ME.

Other news, Cassidys team hasn't won one game yet this season and she got "talked to" today about no full-on tackeling the other players. Yup, she is my tomboy. Maybe I should put her in football, but I think the other boys might feel less than manly with a girl kicking their asses.

Ok, I have updated. Now my mom can NOT harp at me, "YOUR NOT UPDATING YOUR BLOG!" :P

McD's Happy Toy

Truth has been playing crazy with his new toy. It came in one of the Happy Meal toys from McDonalds. He loves it and carries it around the house. Too funny, really.

I will hopefully get halloween pics posted soon. Been running behind, given the season. People are already ordering Christmas cards. I am really not prepard for it to be Christmas season again.

My Baby

Sarah: Mom, look at my baby. MMEEOOWW!
Me: Sarah, let poor Truth out of that stroller.
Sarah: He is my baby & he likes it!
Me: Sure he does!

Man my youngest likes to torment him! He earns every sneak attack he gives her!

Tomorrow is Cassidys first Bball game. The girls are so excited to Halloween tomorrow.

Pumpking Carving

We had a good time at circle last night. Mary's hubby grilled a bunch of stuff, brauts, hotdogs, Dr. Pepper Chicken and some veggies.  Everyone brought something. We laughed and had kicked back. Then we started carving. Here are some snapshots from the night.
