Photos from Today

It was reeeaaallly HOT today. The very sticky kind of HOT! We decided to fill the pool, the girls got in right after it was full and they were really cold!

Here is Sarah's Crocky, chillen with some coke!

Spaghetti Squash

James was watching TV the other day and saw a cooking show that showed how to make spaghetti squash. I had never heard of it. But it is real good! This was my first time making it. It tastes just like spaghetti! All you do is cook the squash in the oven on 350 for a hour. Take it out and let it cool for about 15 min! Then cut it open and scoop out all of the seeds. After the seeds are out scoop out all of the spaghetti looking squash leaving the skin. Then get your frying pan and put butter, basil, garlic and Italian seasoning in it to taste and fry it up. That's it! It is very filling! And good for you too! Cant beat that!! Oh, and make sure to add a little Parmesan cheese to it!

I've gotta say...

I've gotta say that I just love this neighborhood. Kids roam around all day and play with each other. Everyone knows everyone. Poor kids but great for parents, especially when they get older and are doing stuff by themselves a lot more. People wave to each other, even thought they don't know them. My neighbor to the right is just awesome. Anything I ever need I can go over there. If I am ever sick or not feeling well she will give me tea or offer me pain reliever. In the almost 4 years I've known them, we have become very close, which is nice since we have no family around. I hear about all that is happening in bigger cities and I go outside and it is like we are untouched. I know some people might think it is boring here, but I love the fact that my kids can roam to neighbors houses without a care! James and I have been thinking about moving to various different states because of different jobs he wants or to be closer to family, but then I think about everything that is happening now and it scares me to move from a place that I love, despite the fact that we live so far away from people we have grown up with, to a place that might have some family but we really don't know anymore. Anyway, just feeling thankful.
Here is a photo of a couple of girls that showed up from down the street to play with mine. The one right next to Cassidy is her best friend from pre-school.

I did it...

I did it!

I changed my blog all on my own!! The template is predesigned, yeah I know, but I couldn't change it last time. This time I figured it out!! HIP HIP HURRAY for me!!. Any way how do you like?

Kate is home. I guess she really missed us. She hated the toilets there. All she could talk about is the toilets dont flush and they stink really bad! She took about 50 pictures while she was at camp, as soon as I get the developed I will scan some in so everyone can see. Oh, and she managed to NOT come home with head lice! Another HURRAY! I was so worried about that.
Well, its good to have her home again!

Tomorrow, 6-27, the girls and I are going to pick Kate up from camp! I guess the campers are going to cook everyone dinner! Yeah! Looking forward to that! :D James is at school in Chicago until Friday, so it will just be me and girls for a few more days. He gets back in at about 9:30 or 10 pm on Friday. It will be nice to have him home again!
