Yesterday James played hookie. He took me first to the Whole Foods store in Omaha and let me tell you that store is amazing. Found all the stuff needed for my new project of making my first batch of soap. Lets hope I don't screw that up too much! Next we went out to see Halloween II, loved it. Rob Zombie ROCKS! Then we hurried home to meet the kids after school. Gotta admit I am liking them being at school again. Finally get some piece, at least for a while, and I get everything I need done during the day with no fighting!
School went to the back burner over the summer now it is time to start picking it up again as well as my witch school studies before my mentor starts the hounding. LOL.
Kate starts band soon. She decided to play the clarinet. I made her promise to practice 20 min a day and get all her school work done. She agreed. We'll see! Her and Cassidy also have volleyball starting next week. I am going to be one of the couches for Kates volleyball. All the running around from practice to practice should be FUN! LOL, note the sarcasm. But I guess there is a give and take with the girls being in school. Sarah is already asking when bball is going to start. Man just a bit of a break between the two please! :P I don't think Kate wants to play bball again this year so at least I wont be running around to 3 practices and games on Saturday!
Tomorrow I am taking the girls to a little park about 40 min away from here to do there school pictures. I guess I should update the side bar pics sometime! I think they are all 2 years old.
Right now I am ready Pride and Prejudice and Zombies. So far so good. I am enjoying how they wove the Pride and Prejudice book in with Zombies. It is a fun read. I think my reading has become quite the addiction. So far this year I have managed to read all of the Stephanie Meyer Twilight series, the Kim Harrison Hollows series, the Laurell K. Hamilton Anita Blake Vampire Hunter series and her Merry Gentry series, plus a few others. Next after Pride and Prejudice and Zombies I think I will be starting the Sherrilyn Kenyon Dark Hunter series
Hubby and I have been quite dedicated to our working out. We work out at least 4 times a week. He goes to the gym while I choose to do my workouts with Billy Blanks and some others at home. So far since about April he has lost 65lbs. I still cant bring myself to pop on a scale yet. I am afraid to get discouraged and decide that it is not worth it. I have went down at least one size. I like the feeling of my clothing getting bigger and my self esteem has been on the rise ever since. Goddess knows that I needed a boost in self esteem.
Anyway spent the day cleaning. Finally done. Hubby decided he needed to run into work today... Lets leave it at that. LOL. He went to work out, I'm sure, and went grocery shopping. Well at least that's done and I don't have to do that. Kate has been a real BIG BOOGER the last couple of days. Still cant get it through to her that I am Queen here and need to know where she is and who she is with when she goes somewhere. She is just not getting it. Oh well, I'm sure it is just starting. :P Now to tackle the laundry.

First day of school

Poppets
For circle last night we had our healing prayer at 7pm to find a cure for cancer and then we made poppets (kinda like a voodoo doll). A poppet is used for sympathetic magick. We created out poppets out of cloth, decorated them with symbols, and stuffed them with herbs. Here are some pics, again point and shoot.

-Dagaz (Thaw-gauze)- Day, daylight, dawn, breakthrough, radical change. It is used to bring positive outcomes. I placed it over the Third Eye or Brow Chakra.
-Wunjo (woon-yoh)- Happiness, light, emotional satisfaction- used for sucess in any endeavor, to motivate, to complete a task. I placed it over the Heart Chakra.
Sowilo (Soe-wee-low)- Discovery, disclosure, wholeness, light and energy, Used for energy, strength, success and healing. I placed it over the Solar Plexus Chakra.

Flyleaf Concert Omaha
A couple of weeks ago a friend of our took our "monkeys" for the evening so Hubby and I could go to concert. Flyleaf! We had so much fun. I could only take our point and shoot camera so pics are not great, but you get the gist. The videos sound might not be the best because we were close to the speakers so my camera couldn't handle it.

Aksarben Aquarium
As many of you know I am apart of a healing group of local pagans. A few weeks ago we had a pot luck at the Aksarben Aquarium. We were lucky enough to get free reigns of the place to explore and play because one of our members works there. Our families joined us and we watched Shrek 3, I believe, on the big screen. It was great fun! Good food and great company, gotta love it.
